Veterans Day 2024 will always be remembered by Woodhull Intermediate School students participating in the Learners Who LEAD program. The youngsters painted rocks with inspirational messages and poppies, created heartfelt cards and designed American flag murals to honor and thank local veterans.

Woodhull Ready to Open New Year with Excitement

Woodhull Intermediate School’s sixth grade dual language culminating experience gave students a chance to shine while presenting their projects on “Spanish speaking countries” to an audience of parents, classmates and teachers.

Woodhull Intermediate School is a happy and nurturing place where children are encouraged to be all they can be. It has been providing youngsters in the community with an outstanding education since opening in 1967.

The district's arts in education program calendar complements education at each grade level throughout the year. Stephanie Campbell

Principal

Stephanie L. Campbell has been Woodhull Intermediate School’s principal since December 5, 2022.

Ms. Campbell earned an undergraduate degree at James Madison University in psychology and elementary education in May 1997 and a master’s degree at George Mason University in educational leadership in January 2005.

Prior to being named Woodhull’s principal, Ms. Campbell had been working as an elementary instructional coordinator at Ocean Avenue Elementary School in Northport since 2019. She was previously employed as at Ocean Avenue as a third grade and fifth grade teacher between 2014-2019.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Campbell worked as an alternative learning teacher at Hunters Woods Elementary School and as a third, fourth and sixth grade teacher at Waples Mill Elementary School from 1998-2005. Both schools are part of the Fairfax County public school system in Virginia.

Ms. Campbell has participated in training focused on responsive classrooms, response to intervention/multi-tiered system of support for academics, integrated co-teaching, understanding by design and guided math.
