Huntington School Board members approved a multi-day overnight field trip to Frost Valley YMCA environmental education center in Claryville for Woodhull Intermediate School and Jack Abrams STEM Magnet School sixth graders in March.

Woodhull SDM Committee Sets School Goals

The Woodhull Intermediate School Shared Decision Making Committee has approved a pair of school based team goals for the 2023/24 school. Principal Stephanie Campbell along with committee members, faculty and support staff will oversee implementation of the goals.

The Woodhull Intermediate School and Jack Abrams STEM Magnet School drama club has announced auditions for this year’s musical, “The Little Mermaid Jr.” Dozens of students from both schools are expected to join in the fun.

Woodhull Intermediate School is a happy and nurturing place where children are encouraged to be all they can be. It has been providing youngsters in the community with an outstanding education since opening in 1967.

Stephanie Campbell


Stephanie L. Campbell has been Woodhull Intermediate School’s principal since December 5, 2022.

Ms. Campbell earned an undergraduate degree at James Madison University in psychology and elementary education in May 1997 and a master’s degree at George Mason University in educational leadership in January 2005.

Prior to being named Woodhull’s principal, Ms. Campbell had been working as an elementary instructional coordinator at Ocean Avenue Elementary School in Northport since 2019. She was previously employed as at Ocean Avenue as a third grade and fifth grade teacher between 2014-2019.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Campbell worked as an alternative learning teacher at Hunters Woods Elementary School and as a third, fourth and sixth grade teacher at Waples Mill Elementary School from 1998-2005. Both schools are part of the Fairfax County public school system in Virginia.

Ms. Campbell has participated in training focused on responsive classrooms, response to intervention/multi-tiered system of support for academics, integrated co-teaching, understanding by design and guided math.
