Woodhull Recognizes September’s Outstanding Students

A group of nineteen students who have been working very hard with impressive results was honored at Woodhull Intermediate School as Eagles of the Month. Two teachers were also recognized for their efforts along with the youngsters.

“We are proud to announce Woodhull's Eagles of the Month, who exemplified this month’s character trait of respect,” Principal Stephanie Campbell said. “We are proud of these amazing role models who inspire us all to soar high. Keep up the great work, Eagles!”

Each of the honorees received a certificate and a Woodhull water bottle to celebrate their achievements.

September’s honorees include:

Fourth grade: Jabari Pryce, Valentina Evans, Ariana Chavez Trejo, Morgan Pallack, Erik Sorensen, Sarah Palacios Jimenez, Grace Alvarado Alfaro

Fifth grade: Connie Chang, Noah Finkelstein, Josue Liz Inoa, Naya Shaw, Alistair McKay, Mila Cavazos

Sixth grade: Selimah Dease, Lindsay Rodriguez, Jefferson Banegas Cabrera, Elene Enageli, Monica Ng, Nicolas Chan Camarago

Recognized along with the top students were teachers Colleen Mahoney and Lisa Sciascia, “who were nominated this month by the faculty for their contributions to the Woodhull learning community,” Mrs. Campbell said.

Woodhull students thoroughly enjoyed the first five weeks of the 2024/25 school year. A new fourth grade class seamlessly joined with fifth and sixth graders to create the school’s energetic student body.

Among the upcoming events on the calendar, the Woodhull PTA will meet on Tuesday, October 15 at 6 p.m. All parents and guardians are invited to attend. Woodhull’s Picture Days are set for Monday-Wednesday, October 21-23.

Woodhull’s annual Trunk or Treat celebration is scheduled for Wednesday, October 30. The Woodhull Book Fair will be held Wednesday-Friday, November 6-8.
