Huntington High School is proud to announce that senior Ronnie Jarama has been nominated for consideration for the Career and Technical Education (CTE) U.S. Presidential Scholars Program, a prestigious recognition that celebrates students who demonstrate exceptional achievement, perseverance, and commitment to excellence.
Throughout his high school career, Ronnie has consistently challenged himself academically, progressing from one honors course in ninth grade to three Advanced Placement courses and one college-level course in his senior year. He has also excelled in his Medical Assisting program, earning a 95 last year and demonstrating a strong interest in pursuing a future career in the medical field.
Ronnie’s accomplishments are especially meaningful in light of the personal challenges he has overcome throughout his educational journey. Through it all, he has remained focused on his education, continued to set ambitious goals, and demonstrated an exceptional work ethic, kindness, and resilience. His determination to grow academically and pursue his goals reflects the very best of Huntington’s students.
In recognition of this achievement, Assemblyman Steve Stern, along with Mary Beth and Phil Kraese of the Mason Kraese Memorial Blue Collar Foundation, presented Ronnie with a proclamation celebrating his nomination. The foundation was established to support and inspire students pursuing careers in the skilled trades and other career and technical education pathways.
Ronnie’s nomination is a testament to his hard work, perseverance, and dedication to building a bright future. Huntington Union Free School District congratulates Ronnie on this well-deserved recognition and wishes him continued success as he pursues his educational and professional goals.
