Huntington High School to Host Annual Fall College Fair
October 7, 2026
Huntington High School will host its annual Fall College Fair on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, providing juniors and seniors with an opportunity to connect with college representatives and explore postsecondary options.
The College Fair will take place in the High School Gymnasium during Periods 2 and 3 and is open to all Huntington High School juniors and seniors. Passes will be distributed through ELA classes closer to the event.
More than 50 colleges and universities are currently slated to attend, representing a wide range of institutions from New York and across the country. Students will have the opportunity to learn about academic programs, admission requirements, campus life, scholarships, financial aid, and other aspects of the college experience.
“College exploration is about more than simply identifying a list of schools,” said Dr. Ricky Papandrea, Director of School Counseling & Testing, K–12. “The College Fair gives our students a valuable opportunity to ask questions, make connections, and learn about the many pathways available to them after high school. Whether they have a clear idea of where they want to attend or are still exploring, there is something for everyone.”
Bernadette Walsh, School Counselor in Huntington High School’s College and Career Center, encourages students to take advantage of the opportunity to speak directly with representatives.
“The College Fair allows students to have meaningful conversations and learn about colleges they may not have previously considered,” Walsh said. “We encourage our juniors and seniors to come prepared with questions and take advantage of this opportunity to explore their options.”
Students are encouraged to research colleges ahead of time and prepare questions about programs, admissions, campus life, scholarships, athletics, and career opportunities.
