Lena Sullivan, Julia Goodwin and Vivian Morrissy led the Blue Devils, with their teammates close behind to secure the victory. The team also honored seniors Julia Goodwin, Kaylee Mata and Emma Marsala for their dedication and contributions to the program.

Sullivan has led Huntington throughout the season after transitioning from swimming to cross country. Now a three-season runner, she has embraced the sport with determination and a drive to make a name for herself.

“I’m so proud of every girl on this team,” said head coach Alyssa Salese. “To have everyone run a personal best on Senior Day made this meet especially meaningful. Lena, Julia and Vivian led the way, with their teammates right behind them. Their hard work and support for one another were reflected in their performances.”

Salese also praised Sullivan’s growth and season-long leadership.

“Lena came over from swimming and fully committed herself to becoming a three-season runner,” she said. “She is so determined to make a name for herself, and she has led our team all season. Watching her embrace this challenge and grow as a runner has been incredibly rewarding.”

Sullivan and Morrissy also have their sights set on the indoor track and field season, which begins in just a few short weeks. Both are eager to build on their cross country performances and carry that momentum into the winter.

The victory provided a fitting celebration for Huntington’s seniors.

“We were thrilled to celebrate Julia, Kaylee and Emma with a team win and personal bests across the board,” Salese said. “I’m grateful for everything they have brought to our program and so proud to be their coach.”
