Huntington Film Festival Attracts Crowd to Cinema Arts
May 20, 2026
A crowd of movie lovers turned out for Huntington High School’s seventeenth annual film festival at Cinema Arts Centre. The audience was treated to 22 short films over the course of about one hour, including some really well-crafted works by an experienced group of students.
“It was a very exciting evening at the newly remodeled Cinema Arts Centre,” said teacher Heather Swan, who heads Huntington High School’s video arts program. “I was so proud of all of my video students and the incredible display of films we were able to present to our community.”
This year’s film festival received positive reviews from those in the crowd, which included Superintendent Beth McCoy and her mother. The screened films were witty and thought-provoking, igniting much discussion afterwards in the lobby.
