May 4, 2026
Huntington High School students shined in the Virtual Enterprise Youth Business Summit at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City. Three separate departments, one from each of Huntington’s firms, qualified for the competition, vying against the top 50 in the nation in their respective divisions.
Huntington’s CleanClip and Xtinguish firms sent representatives of their marketing departments to present their yearlong marketing plan, which identified the 4 P's of their business; the strategies and tactics they used to market throughout the year and how close they came to achieving their goals.
Huntington’s Embrace firm sent representatives of their human resources department to present their Corporate Social Responsibility Plan, explaining how their company made an impact in their community and what steps they took this year to have their business take care of the 4 CSR pillars.
“After staying overnight in New York City, we met the rest of the VE students back at the Jacob Javits Cetner the following day, for the International Youth Business Summit, where students were tasked with selling their products to both students and potential investors throughout the day,” Huntington business teacher Bryan Outsen said.
In total, Huntington generated $361,073.28 in revenue during the tradeshow. This year's Youth Business Summit included 18 states and nine countries, with 612 firms and 2800 students.
