Fab Four Captures Attorney General Triple C Awards

Ruby Hoffman, Mindy Najera Flores, Caleb Palermo and Jean Riboul have all made their mark Huntington High School where the fabulous four teenagers are among the most distinguished members of the Class of 2026. They claimed this year’s New York State Attorney General’s Triple C Awards.

Sponsored by State Attorney General Letitia James, the Triple C Award recognizes “the courage, character and commitment of New York State’s outstanding students. Whether succeeding in academic pursuits, participating in community service, displaying leadership skills, or overcoming personal obstacles, these students provide us with hope for a brighter future. This award was established to honor these student leaders.”

Principal Rochelle Brown presented this year’s awards during a ceremony in the high school auditorium.

Mursal Safy captured the new State Attorney General’s Civic Ambassador Award. It is presented to one student from each school who “has demonstrated a passion for and knowledge of civics and government.”  Ms. Safy will be attending Stony Brook University.

Ms. Hoffman intends to attend Villanova University and study neuroscience. Ms. Najera Flores plans to study nursing at Stony Brook University and cosmetology at Brittany Beauty Academy in Levittown. Mr. Palermo plans to pursue a doctorate in physical therapy after studying kinesiology at the University of Scranton, where he intends to play on the college’s first ever men’s volleyball team. Mr. Riboul is headed to Morgan State University in Baltimore where he will be on the men’s track and field team.
