Free Football Intramurals for Grades 6-7 at Huntington

The Huntington UFSD athletic department is offering a free youth football intramural program for sixth and seventh graders beginning Monday, February 9. It will be held at Huntington High School’s Louis D. Giani Gymnasium.

The program will run from 6:00-7:30 p.m. on the following Monday nights: February 9, March 16, April 13, May 11 and June 8.

These school sponsored sessions will include general conditioning and training along with an opportunity to learn more about the sport of football. The staff will include high school and Finley football coaches.

The Huntington High School football program is prepping for its 103rd season. The sport traces its founding in the community to 1895 when a team of current and past high school students and local residents banded together to form a squad. The first varsity high school team took the field in 1924.
