Lauren Brunoni Named 2026 FourLeaf Best of LI Guidance Counselor

Longtime Huntington UFSD school counselor Lauren Brunoni has been named the 2026 FourLeaf Best of Long Island Guidance Counselor. The award recognizes exceptional professionals who demonstrate dedication, impact, and outstanding service in their communities.
A mainstay on the Huntington High School faculty, Ms. Brunoni was selected for her unwavering commitment to students and her leadership within the School Counseling Department.
“Lauren Brunoni embodies everything that outstanding school counseling represents,” Dr. Ricky Papandrea, director of school counseling and testing, K–12 said. “Known for her student-centered approach, Ms. Brunoni helps students navigate high school while preparing for postsecondary success. Her work supports not only academic achievement but also social-emotional growth, ensuring that every student receives the guidance and resources they need to thrive. Her dedication to students, thoughtful guidance, and tireless advocacy make a lasting difference in the lives of the young people she serves every day.”
Dr. Papandrea added that the recognition is incredibly well deserved, noting that “Lauren’s work reflects the highest standards of our profession, and we are fortunate to have her as part of the Huntington High School community.”
The FourLeaf Best of Long Island awards honor professionals who go above and beyond in their fields and are nominated by members of the community. Ms. Brunoni’s selection highlights the trust, respect, and appreciation she has earned from students, families, and colleagues.
