Blue Market & Blutique Sponsor Appreciation Celebration

The Huntington High School community recently revealed the newly renovated Blue Market and Blutique space and celebrated the donors and sponsors backing the initiative. Many school officials participated in the festivities.
Mission: The Huntington Blue Devils aspire to create a robust resource for community members. The mission of this project is to collect and distribute supplies, clothing and food. The goal of this project is to build a community network through partnerships.

The initiative kicked off in February 2024 and it has steadily grown over the past two years. Here is a summary:
2024
• Assembled a dedicated team to support program implementation
• Created and launched the student closet space
• Received generous donations from community partners
• Released order forms to selected students through the Student Support Team and School Counselors
• Hosted the first Blutique Shop event
• Expanded access by releasing order forms to all students, with orders fulfilled weekly for student pickup on Mondays and Wednesdays
2025
• Secured multiple community donations supporting program growth
• Awarded a $7,500 Stop & Shop grant
• Established new and meaningful community partnerships
• Eagle Scouts and Boy Scouts constructed custom furniture to expand the pantry space
• Successfully hosted quarterly Boutique Shop events
• Expanded student order pickup availability to daily service
• Provided students with the opportunity to shop in person at Stop & Shop to stock the pantry
• Empowered students to maintain the closet and fulfill orders as an in-school service job
2026
• Establish bi-monthly community pick-up orders from 2:30–4:30 p.m., supported by Huntington High School club volunteers
• Secure donations and partnerships with additional major companies to expand community impact
• Secure the Stop & Shop grant for a second year, enabling us to build on this momentum and further expand our support for students and families
