Plan Ahead Now for Summer College Programs

Granted that August 2026 is still a long way off, but Huntington UFSD rarely rests. Planning is already complete on next August’s two-day Common Application Bootcamp as well as the one day College Essay Review session. Separate QR codes for each of the programs make registration both convenient and quick.
Here are descriptions about each of the programs:
Class of 2027 Common Application Bootcamp: August 3-4. Let's get to work on your Common App! Bring in your fully charged Chromebooks and we will work on the Common App, Naviance and institutional applications. To allow as many students to participate as possible, students may only register for one workshop. Students must register by July 31. All workshops will be held in the Huntington High School Library. Class of 2027 College Essay Review: August 5. Admission counselors from several colleges will meet with students from the Class of 2027 on August 5, starting at 9 a.m. to review college essays. Admission counselors will provide students with feedback and suggestions. To participate you must have your college essay draft prepared for review. You may use the Common Application (www.commonapp.org) essay prompts. All sessions will be held in the Huntington High School Library. Students must register by July 31. College counselor Bernadette Walsh will confirm your registration and provide additional instructions/information via email. Scan the QR to register today!
