Teamwork in Action at Jack Abrams

Students at Jack Abrams Intermediate School are putting this year’s theme, “Together: We Learn, We Grow,” into action during Physical Education classes with Mrs. Andersen and Ms. Scully.

During a recent team-building activity, students worked together to navigate an imaginary “river” without falling in. Divided into teams, students were challenged to collaborate, communicate, and problem-solve their way to the other side.

The activity provided students with an opportunity to build teamwork and communication skills while staying active and developing gross motor skills. Students quickly discovered that success depended on listening to their teammates, supporting one another, and finding creative solutions together.

Through activities like this, Jack Abrams students are learning an important lesson that extends well beyond the gym: when we work together, we can accomplish more!
