A Wonderful Start to the School Year at Washington Primary!

What better way to welcome a new school year than with an evening filled with laughter, music, games, and school spirit! Washington Primary School’s PTA hosted a fantastic carnival-themed Block Party, bringing families, students, staff, and members of the school community together for a fun-filled celebration to officially kick off the 2026–2027 school year.

Families gathered on the school lawn, enjoying dinner picnic-style while children explored an exciting variety of carnival-themed activities. From Catch the Duck and miniature golf to face painting, temporary tattoos, and other games, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The evening was filled with smiles and plenty of school spirit as families connected with one another and celebrated the beginning of another wonderful year at Washington Primary.

A special thank-you goes to our Finley Middle School student volunteers, who generously gave their time to help facilitate the face painting and tattoo stations and lead many of the carnival games. Their enthusiasm, energy, and willingness to help made the evening even more special for our youngest Blue Devils.

We are incredibly grateful to the Washington Primary PTA for organizing such a welcoming and memorable event and for all they do throughout the year to bring our school community together. We also extend our sincere appreciation to the many parent volunteers, staff members, student volunteers, and community members whose time and effort helped make the evening such a success.

The evening was a wonderful reminder of the strong sense of community that makes Washington Primary such a special place to learn and grow.

What a wonderful way to begin the 2026–2027 school year! We are looking forward to a year filled with learning, connection, new experiences, and many more opportunities to celebrate our students and our incredible school community. Go Blue Devils!
