Another Fun Learning Day at Washington School

Washington Primary School students celebrated their creativity, their courage, and collaboration on International Dot Day. Students enjoyed a read aloud of the book “The Dot,” by Peter H. Reynolds.

Throughout the day they created beautiful works of art to symbolize their uniqueness and creativity,” Principal Dr. Michelle J. Richards said.

Teacher Nicholas Matarazzo’s art classes created Dot inspired art pieces. Ivette Rosario’s first grade dual language class were creative as the young artists used a rainbow of colorful paints to make their very own marks. Through this fun and meaningful activity, students celebrated International Dot Day—a global celebration of creativity, courage, and collaboration.

“We are so proud of our Washington artists for thinking creatively, taking chances, and showing that even the smallest dot can make a big difference, Dr. Richards said. “¡Atrévete a crear, sé valiente y deja tu huella!”

It was another fun learning fall day at Washington Primary School on Whitson Road in Huntington Station.
