Students Learn About School the Washington Way

Washington Primary School “Winners” and school mascot Wolfie celebrated the new school year with the welcome back assembly. Kindergarteners and second graders and first graders and third graders were paired to assembly programs.

“These mixed assemblies provided our older Washington Winners with the opportunity to teach the younger Washington Winners how to do school the Washington Way,” Principal Michelle Richards said. “With the help of beloved mascot Wolfie, everyone sang and danced as they learned and reviewed the ‘Washington Expectations.’ The assembly began with reciting the Washington Winner pledge and explaining what it means; followed by sharing different was to earn Wolfies.”

At the end of the assembly, each Washington Winner restated the pledge and set goals for earning Wolfie’s by the end of the month. “Washington is off to an amazing start of the school year as we embark upon Mission: Learning,” Dr. Richards said.
