Woodhull Fourth Graders Explore Creativity in the Makerspace
October 28, 2026
Creativity, collaboration, and exploration are in full swing at Woodhull Intermediate School! Fourth-grade students recently visited the school’s Makerspace, where they put their imaginations and problem-solving skills to work through a variety of engaging, hands-on activities.
Students built imaginative structures using LEGOs and Magna-Tiles, began creating a colorful sticker mosaic, and explored Fluid Simulation through Google Chrome Experiments on the Smart Board. One group even constructed the tallest Magna-Tiles tower seen in the Makerspace to date!
Facilitated by Library Media Specialist Mr. Cumming, the Makerspace is located in the school library and is available during lunch and recess. Students in grades 4 through 6 have the opportunity to participate twice a week, enjoying a welcoming space where they can experiment, share ideas, and discover new interests.
Through these interactive experiences, Woodhull students strengthen their creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills while having fun learning together. The Makerspace reflects Woodhull’s commitment to providing meaningful opportunities for students to explore, innovate, and grow as learners.
We love seeing our Woodhull Eagles spread their wings, bring their ideas to life, and learn through creativity and discovery!
