Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month Through Student Research in Jack Abrams Dual Language Class

October 19, 2026

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, fourth-grade students in Mrs. Joseph’s Dual Language class embarked on an engaging research project exploring the rich cultures, histories, and traditions of Spanish-speaking countries around the world.

Each student selected a Spanish-speaking country to investigate, researching a variety of topics, including notable landmarks, influential figures, and interesting facts that highlighted the country’s unique identity and contributions. Students worked diligently to gather information, organize their findings, and develop creative presentations to share their learning with their classmates.

Throughout the project, students demonstrated enthusiasm, curiosity, and dedication as they took ownership of their research and strengthened their skills in information gathering, organization, and public speaking. Their presentations provided an opportunity to learn from one another while deepening their understanding and appreciation of the diverse cultures that enrich the Spanish-speaking world.

We are proud of our students’ hard work and creativity as they embraced this meaningful learning experience, celebrated cultural diversity, and expanded their global perspectives. Their work reflects the value of our Dual Language program in fostering both academic growth and a greater appreciation for the cultures and traditions that connect us.
