Jefferson School Field Day 2025 Fun
June 16, 2025
Jefferson Primary School’s field day has always been one of the most popular days of the year for kids. The building opened in September 1962 and ever since then without interruption there’s been an extravaganza late in the school year.
Physical education teacher Karen Fischer specializes in organizing and preparing students for a long list of field day events. The teacher has developed a legendary field day layout and program. If there was a competitive contest for field day plans, Ms. Fischer would be at the top of the award winners.
“Field Day at Jefferson Primary was a wonderful success,” Principal Valerie Capitulo-Saide said. “Although it was a hot day, our students stayed cool with water breaks every 15 minutes, time in the shade and some extra fun during the afternoon water relay games. Thanks to our generous PTA, every student enjoyed a refreshing ice pop to help beat the heat. Ms. Fischer, our dedicated physical education teacher, said the best part was seeing the joy and big smiles on all the students’ faces. It was a day filled with laughter, teamwork and Jefferson spirit!”
Jefferson’s field day included all the simple touches you would expect, such as big smiles on the faces of students, who worked hard to complete all the events as best they could. Parents were proud of their children and so were teachers and support staff members.
