Huntington High School Student Government Elections Held

Huntington High School students recently went to the polls to elect student government officers following a spirited campaign, complete with posters and flyers. New officers are now in place for the 2025/26 sophomore, junior and senior classes and the General Organization, as the school-wide student government is officially known.

Elections at J. Taylor Finley Middle School for next year’s freshman class officers will be held soon and announced immediately following the counting of ballots.

The new officers include:

Sophomore Class: President: Sean White; Vice President: Cassidy Harris; Treasurer: Hanna Boyle; Public Relations Coordinator: Violetta Fox; Recording Secretary: Alexa Wasoski

Junior Class: President: Sena Kopf; Vice President: Maddy Falk; Treasurer: Edgar Castro; Public Relations Coordinator: Nica DiPietro; Recording Secretary: Alex Boeckmann

Senior Class: President: Emma Guttierez; Vice President Jaslyn Marroquin; Treasurer: Ruby Hoffman; Public Relations Coordinator: Jeremyah Leiva; Recording Secretary: Carly Gallagher

General Organization: President: Katie Cocoman; Vice President: Alex Boeckmann; Treasurer: Sena Knopf; Public Relations Coordinator: Leah MacManus; Recording Secretary: Maddy Falk

The Huntington School Board is expected to approve faculty advisors for each class as well as for the student government at its July meeting.

With Homecoming Day set for Saturday, September 27 and with several events scheduled to occur earlier that same week, it is expected that many class organizations will be meeting over the summer for planning purposes.
