“Love, Love, Love” is the familiar beginning of The Beatles’ iconic 1967 song, “All You Need Is Love.” In fact, the song’s first three lines, amounting to nine words are all the same: Love. Love and what it stands for and means in practice sum up a recent campaign at Woodhull Intermediate School.

“At Woodhull, we believe a strong, supportive school community is essential, as students learn best when they feel safe valued, and included,” Principal Stephanie Campbell said. “While we foster this every day, Random Acts of Kindness Week gave us a special opportunity to celebrate and encourage positivity through thoughtful actions.”

The week concluded with PS I Love You Day on Valentine’s Day, reinforcing the importance of love, unity and emotional well-being.

“Through meaningful activities throughout the week, we inspired students to make kindness a daily habit and continue building a caring school community,” Ms. Campbell said.

P.S. I Love You Day is a registered non-profit organization in New York State, dedicated to eradicating the stigma around mental health. “Our mission is to instill hope for those affected by mental illness, fostering a supportive environment and a community where everyone feels welcomed, loved, and supported,” according to its website.

John Lennon wrote “All You Need Is Love,” which was included in the Magical Mystery Tour album in November 1967 and again the Yellow Submarine movie soundtrack album in January 1969. Lennon said of the song: “I’m a revolutionary artist. My art is dedicated to change.”
