Virtual Financial Aid Night at Huntington UFSD

October 31, 2025

Huntington UFSD students and parents are invited to participate in a free virtual financial aid night on Wednesday, November 12 at 7 p.m. The session will be carried on Zoom.

“This informative event is designed to guide you and your student through the financial aid process for higher education,” said Dr. Ricky V. Papandrea, Jr., district director of school counseling and testing, K-12.

The guest presenter is Ed Recker, director of high school relationship management at Sallie Mae. He brings with him to the event, over 15 years of experience in higher education financial aid.

During the presentation, Mr. Recker will cover:

• The different types of financial aid available to students

• Step-by-step instructions on how to apply for financial aid, including the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)

• Key deadlines and the financial aid timeline to ensure you’re prepared

This session is an excellent opportunity to get answers to your questions about financing college. We hope you’ll join us for this valuable presentation to help plan your student’s next steps.

With the cost of attending college already high and increasing even further, Huntington

UFSD is hoping that parents and students take advantage of the Virtual Financial Aid Night to learn how they can access available funding they may know nothing about.
