November 13, 2025

The Blue Devil varsity girls’ soccer team has four post-season honorees following a season that saw Huntington win seven games under first year head coach Danielle Raguzin.

Madyn Kalb captured All-County recognition while Bella Duke and Cameron Smith were named All-League. Wynne Franciscovich was tapped as Academic All-County.

Raguzin was assisted by Vincent Tannazzo. The 21 player team was captained by Cameron Smith, Jolie Weinschreider Madyn Kalb and Ava McDonald.

The top players included:

Madyn Kalb: Tallied 5 goals and 7 assists; “Madyn is a multi-use player who fills in wherever she is needed,” Raguzin said.

Bella Duke: Notched 10 goals and 3 assists; “Bella was our leading goal scorer,” Raguzin said.

Cameron Smith: Scored 1 goal and added 6 assists; “Cameron managed the middle of the field and was also a multi-use player,” Raguzin said.

Emma Barch: Tallied 3 goals and 2 assists; “She had the game winning goal with 18 second remaining against Connetquot

Sophomore Claire Dello-Iacono was another standout, scoring five goals from her forward position. Sophomore Lia Zivkovic (defense), junior Ava McDonald (defense) and senior Jolie Weinschreider (defense) all started and had major roles on the team.

Highlights included scoring on county champion Northport in the first minute of the game and nipping Connetquot in the final seconds, 3-2. Huntington fell one win shy of making the playoffs.

“The team was well bonded and had a ton of heart,” Raguzin said. “They showed up and worked hard every practice and game. They are a young team with a lot of potential for years to come.”

Huntington is losing its starting goalie in Franciscovich, a star defender in Weinschreider and its center midfielder in Smith. “However, we return out All-County multi-use player, solid defenders and our top goal scorer,” Raguzin said.
