Blue Devil Football Golf Outing on Monday, June 9

March 12, 2025

The kickoff to the Huntington High School football team’s 102nd season will come on Monday, June 9 when the Blue Devils tee-off at 1:30 p.m. at a golf outing at Crab Meadow Golf Course in Northport.

Third year varsity head coach Ron Wilson and his staff have organized what is expected to be a fun afternoon for football alumni and supporters of the program. Tailgating with light refreshments will begin at 12 noon with check in and preparations on the putting green and driving range set for 12:30 p.m. A post-golf dinner is planned for the Crab Meadow clubhouse at 6:30 p.m. There will be raffles, prizes and an array of hot and cold food choices.

Fees for the day are $225 per golfer or $800 per foursome. Can’t play, but would still like to participate and attend the post-golf festivities, including the awarding of prizes. Dinner is available for $75. Sponsorships are going fast for $500 per hole.

“We are hoping for a great turnout at our golf outing, which will also serve as our football program reunion,” Coach Wilson said. “We think it is going to be a great day for the Blue Devils and our alumni. All proceeds will benefit our middle school and high school football teams and players.”

Participants in the golf outing are asked to register and submit payment by May 5. Checks should be made payable to Huntington Football. Send a message to Coach Wilson at either rwilson@hufsd.edu or call 516.658.4870.

Huntington 102, as the Blue Devils’ 2025 squad is nicknamed, has been participating in intramural workouts for many weeks. The season officially gets underway on August 18. Section XI will announce where teams are seeded in early April followed by the release of a tentative eight game regular season schedule.
