Countdown Begins to Spring Athletic Season

The spring athletic season begins at Huntington High School on Monday, March 17. At Finley Middle School, spring sports launch one week later on Monday, March 24. In order to participate, students must be cleared by the school nurse through Final Forms, the new online registration system deployed by Huntington UFSD.

Hundreds of school districts across the state have been using Final Forms for many years. As of Sunday, 707 Huntington UFSD parents had created accounts and registered 459 students, including 264 at the high school and 195 at Finley. But many more must do so by next Monday if athletes are going to be cleared on time for the first day or tryouts and practice.

Parents must visit the online Huntington UFSD Final Forms site: https://huntington-ny.finalforms.com. Parents should create their account today if they haven’t already done so. The Parent Playbook available on the district website provides detailed directions on how to enroll as a parent/guardian as well as how to register student-athletes. Parents of athletes in grades 7-12 must register for a free account and sign their child up for sports through the account. It is the only way to sign-up for a spring season sport.

Final Forms allows parents to upload physical exam paperwork and complete and sign interval health history, athletic participation and parent consent forms for their child. Final Forms saves data from season to season and year to year so parents will never need to enter the same information twice. It will pre-populate information wherever possible for each student, thus save parents time.

The spring athletic season on the high school and middle school level features the following teams:

Varsity: Boys’ lacrosse, girls’ lacrosse, baseball, softball, boys’ tennis, boys’ outdoor track and field, girls’ outdoor track and field, girls’ golf, boys’ badminton, girls’ badminton, girls’ flag football, co-ed Unified basketball

Junior Varsity: boys’ lacrosse, girls’ lacrosse, baseball, softball, boys’ tennis, girls’ flag football

Finley: boys’ lacrosse, girls’ lacrosse, baseball, softball, boys’ tennis, boys’ outdoor track and field, girls’ outdoor track and field, girls’ gymnastics
