Popsicles with Pops at Flower Hill School
June 18, 2025
Flower Hill Primary School’s annual “Popsicles with Pops” event presented a wonderful opportunity for dads, uncles, cousins, brothers and their special children to connect and make lasting memories together.

The day kicked off with outdoor games, from “head, shoulders, knees and cones” to a spirited hula hoop race, filling the air with giggles, cheers, and friendly competition. Afterwards, families found refuge under the shade of nearby trees, spreading out blankets to read stories and enjoy popsicles.
“We were delighted by a special visit from Mr. [Christopher] Hender, our deputy superintendent, who hopped in to join the fun,” Flower Hill Principal Cindy Siegel said. “It truly was a day filled with connection, happiness and the simple pleasures that make growing up so sweet.”
Thanks went out to kindergarten teachers Patricia Haack, Karen Grosso and Kristen Kopf for organizing the event “and helping to create traditions at Flower Hill,” Ms. Siegel said.
Most families threw down a beach towel or blanket and many children brought books outside to flip through and read. A parachute was nearby and students had fun playing all sorts of parachute games. It was a special day in more ways than one.
Students were thrilled to spend time at the school with their loved ones and everyone left smiling.
