Anthony Addeo Wins $5,000 Lions Club Scholarship

June 13, 2025

The Huntington Lions Club is sold on Anthony Addeo. They are convinced he’s headed for success in his professional career as well as life. And those who know him well are quick to agree.

The organization presented the spectacular Huntington High School Class of 2025 member with a $5,000 scholarship award to help defray college related expenses.

Mr. Addeo plans to study finance at the University of South Carolina-Columbia. He earned stellar grades over the past four years and was recognized this spring as a Distinguished Senior. He got his start in the district as a kindergartener at Washington Primary School.

“The key to my success has been studying hard and always putting maximum effort into my coursework,” Mr. Addeo said. “With the support of my family, friends and teachers, I was able to truly excel in school. I’ve especially enjoyed my experience with high school sports and extracurricular activities, such as baseball and golf. Being a member of the varsity golf and baseball teams is something that I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life. I am also proud to have helped start the Huntington High School Blutique and Blue Market.”

Huntington Lions Club President John DeLorenzo was on hand to present the $5,000 scholarship to Mr. Addeo at the high school’s senior academic scholarships and awards ceremony earlier this week.

The mission of Lions Clubs International is “to empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding through Lions clubs.”
