Free Girls’ Basketball Clinic on Tuesday, February 18

The Huntington girls’ basketball program is enjoying a great run, winning 15 regular season games this winter under new head coach Perry Marinelli and his staff.

Coach Marinelli and his assistants and varsity players will be holding a free basketball clinic for Huntington UFSD girls enrolled in grades 3-8 on Tuesday, February 18 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in the Huntington High School gym. The clinic will help participants take their skills to the next level with drills, competitions and games. The Blue Devil girls’ basketball program is riding high. About 60 players suited up this winter for the two teams at Finley Middle School and for the JV and varsity squads. Coach Marinelli wants to keep that momentum going as he works to develop Huntington into a perennial county power.

The February 18 clinic has been scheduled for the mid-winter vacation in an attempt to maximize participation.

Coach Marinelli is also planning a summer camp through the Huntington Booster Club. Details about the camp are expected to be released soon.

The Blue Devil varsity finished the regular season with a 15-5 record. The playoffs will begin later this week.
