Huntington Offers Two Free Football Intramural Programs

The Huntington UFSD athletic department is offering two free football intramural programs for students across grades 6-12. The intramurals will begin the week of February 9.

The first of the two intramural programs is for students in sixth and seventh grade. It will be held in either the Huntington High School gym or at the Blue Devil Stadium turf field depending on the weather.

The program will run from 6:00-7:30 p.m. on the following Monday nights: February 10, March 10, April 7, May 12 and June 2.

These school sponsored sessions will include general conditioning and training along with an opportunity to learn more about the sport of football. The staff will include high school and Finley football coaches.

Attendance at all sessions is not required. Participate when convenient. Explore offensive, defensive and special team skills as individual interest dictates.

The second of the two free intramural programs is for those in grades 8-12. Depending on the weather, it will run on Wednesdays (6:00-7:30 p.m.) and Sundays (3:00-4:30 p.m.) in either the Huntington High School gym or at Blue Devil Stadium on the turf field. The program will begin the week of Sunday, February 9.
