Woodhull Eagle Ambassador Program a Leadership Opportunity

December 4, 2025

Woodhull Intermediate School’s Eagle Ambassador program is a new leadership opportunity for fifth and sixth graders, led by dedicated faculty members who support student voice and leadership development.

“Our sixth grade Eagle Ambassadors, led by our school guidance counselor, Michelle Handschu and Leaders Who LEAD teacher will meet monthly to help plan our Eagle of the Month assemblies where they will present certificates and introduce the upcoming character trait,” Woodhull Principal Stephanie Campbell said. “Students will also participate in quarterly Principal’s Roundtable meetings to share ideas on strengthening our school community.”

The fifth grade Ambassador program, led by school psychologist Matthew Schultz and Ms. Leggio, focuses on kindness and inclusivity. Due to strong interest, multiple groups will  participate throughout the year. Ambassadors will spend lunch and recess twice a month for eight weeks with students from our Life Skills class, serving as positive role models through meaningful social interactions.

“Together, these programs reflect Woodhull’s commitment to student voice and leadership while building a school community rooted in acceptance, respect and the Woodhull Way,” Ms. Campbell said.

Sixth grade ambassadors include:

Lylah Murtaza, Olivia Patane, Naya Shaw, Julia Cuy Tzoy, Madison Rodgers, Jada Cavazos, Dylan Cano, Josue Liz Inoa, Jesther Guzman Madrid, Alisson Osorio Hernandez, Derrick Lopez Estrada, Bastion Beaubrun, Genesis Velasquez Aguilar, Noah Finkelstein, Valentina Pietrobuono, Molly McCormack, Iona Jimenez, Maryleah Martinez, Brice Sterling, Adrian Martinez, Maggie Stewart, Fabian Previle, Mila Cavazos, Ryan Shanley, Iris Lopez Torres.
