SEPTA Sunset & Sounds on the Bay Gala on May 3

An incredible evening of fun, food, friendship and music awaits the crowd attending the Huntington UFSD’s Special Education PTA’s annual Sunset & Sounds event on Saturday, May 3 from 7-11 p.m. Tickets are on sale now.

The event will feature a cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres, an extensive buffet dinner, cash bar, silent auction, live auction and raffle baskets and live music by the Willie Steel Band. The dance floor will be open all night, too. An enjoyable evening seems to assured, according to the tireless volunteers organizing the affair.
Dozens of district teachers and administrators are expected to attend the event along with parents of current students, alumni and SEPTA’s perpetual supporters.
SEPTA is a district-wide organization devoted to the promotion of quality learning experiences for Huntington students, while recognizing each child’s learning differences.
Past annual fundraising dinners have helped SEPTA to sponsor a series of initiatives including the purchase of computer technology for students with autism; speech and language materials, adaptive learning equipment along with funding for field trips, enrichment programs for the extended year program and games and supplies for social skills clubs. Last year SEPTA awarded five scholarships to graduating seniors.
SEPTA is led by co-Presidents Sara Baliber and Kristin Peters and board members Lauren Campbell, Alex Capozolli, Rene Babich, Wendy Naborre and Mary Reilly.
