Blue Devil Band Announces Show & Student Leaders

The Huntington Blue Devil marching band is already prepping for the 2025 competitive season, selecting its field show and naming its student leaders.

Band Director Andre Rizzuto said the 2025 production is titled “Stranded.” It features original music written by Rich Gullien and Jason Giachetti. Featured works include Béla Viktor János Bartók’s String Quartet No. 2, “Ship in the Mist by Rossano Galante and Symphony No. 5 movement 2 by Pytor Ilyich Tchaikovsky.

“Join the Huntington Blue Devil marching band in our journey on how to survive a horrible ship wreck and realize we are stranded on a deserted island,” Mr. Rizzuto said.

Student leadership includes the following:

Flute Section Leader: Veda Gross and Lily Buscemi

Dates for summer training and the annual August band camp have not yet been released, nor has the competitive schedule. The New York State Field Band Conference championships are once again expected to be held in late October in Syracuse.
