Admission is free. No tickets are required. The general public is welcome to attend as are entire families. The festival’s films will run for a total of about 60 minutes.
“I am very excited to assemble this year’s film festival, “said art teacher Heather Swan, who leads Huntington High School’s video arts program. “We will be presenting a diverse compilation of 20 films that were produced by students representing all four of the video courses as well as a project by my media arts students. We are very fortunate and thankful to have the Cinema Arts Centre hosting this event, since the venue allows us to view the videos on an actual movie screen.”
The filmmakers include Landry Flynn, Sena Knopf, Riley LaCosta, Owen Stevens, Bladimir Cruz Serrano, Samuel Klaaren, Estefany Salamanca, Alex Tine, Cian Henrick, Ethan Ambrosio Charles Stanforth, Eva Richter, Ella Van Horn, Joseph Tetrault, Daniel Sorto, Rory Ramirez Quantanilla and Michael Mendikyan.
Some of the filmmakers will be showing multiple films while others worked in a group to develop their film.
The genres include inspirational, YouTube tutorial, art movement, public service announcement, reality TV show, commercial, horror, TikTok social media, director inspired and multi-person.
“This is a great opportunity for these hard working students to share their talents with their family, friends and our community,” Ms. Swan said.
The filmmakers will be available to discuss their work. Cinema Arts Center refreshment stands will be open before, during and after the film screenings.
The Cinema Arts Centre is located at 423 Park Avenue in Huntington. Contact Ms. Swan at hswan@hufsd.edu for more information.
