First Grade: Ja’sir Parker, Giezi Alberto Avila, Raven Krygier, Donovan Friel

Second Grade: Liliana Baez, Fiona Conroy, Suzi Grijalva de la Cruz, Anthony Cuiffo

Third Grade: Nicole Johnson, Yeimi Gomez Velasquez, Lilah Saks

Southdown’s school mascot is a dolphin, hence the Splash Award. Dolphins are well known for splashing water on anyone nearby.

Ever since it opened nearly 70 years ago, Southdown Primary has never taken a backseat to any other school in the state. The Southdown School community has always held its collective head high, confident in the belief that students receive an exceptional and well-rounded education in the building.

Southdown opened in September 1954 and since then thousands of elementary school age children have studied in its classrooms. Nestled in one of the prettiest areas of the district and only a short walk from the stunning waterfront, the school has always been a great place for young people.

Today’s Southdown School is led by Principal Jill Amott-Erwig. The faculty includes a mix of classroom veterans and newcomers.
