Southdown’s June Stars of the Month are Saluted

The school year is wrapping up in fine fashion at Southdown Primary School where a final set of student award recipients was recently announced for the month of June.

Southdown honored its Stars of the Month with Splash Awards, which is only fitting since the school’s mascot is a dolphin. The youngsters were recognized for their overall effort and performance in classrooms and all around the building and grounds

Principal Jill Amott-Erwig along with Southdown’s faculty and support staff members are all proud of the honorees, who shined through the month of June.

The impressive students include:

Universal Pre-Kindergarten: Rachel Coreas Manueles, Eva Lucero Aguilar

Kindergarten: Raul Mayorga Vicente, Ashley Valeriano Ponce, Miles Loffredo, Emily Migliore, Levi Solares Herrera

First Grade: Leonardo Guy, Adam Johnson, Kendall Lopez Torres, Thomas Reynolds

Second Grade: Jett Oliver, Nathaniel Weston, Alexandra Nunez Castro, Hendrix Evans

Third Grade: Ailin Escoto Gamez, Francesco Savatta, Madeleine Kelley

“We are thrilled for these youngsters and proud of all our students here at Southdown,” Ms. Amott-Erwig said.

The students and their classmates all have exciting summer plans with vacations to see family members, trips to parks and the beach and camp programs high the list with most of the children. Faculty and staff are also looking forward to recharging their batteries during July and August.
