H-ton Girls’ Soccer Seniors Receive Honors

A trio of Huntington High School girls’ soccer team seniors received honors at the 56th annual Blue Devil senior athletic awards ceremony. The tree teenagers were presented with plaques by head coach John Walsh.

Huntington girls’ soccer veterans Reese Rinaldi (University of Georgia), Emersen Evans (University of Tampa) and Riley Murtagh (University of Georgia) were all recognized following their standout careers.

An Advanced Placement Scholar, Ms. Rinaldi was one of Suffolk’s best goalies as a senior. She said the key to her success in the classroom and on the field has been being involved. It taught her how to manage her time and work efficiently. She said she has been fortunate to have been surrounded by teachers and classmates who were willing to help her succeed.

Ms. Murtagh is also an Advanced Placement Scholar. She said she owes her success to hard work and determination with a focus on academics. She also credits strong connections with her teachers and her involvement within the school to a long list of programs and activities.

Ms. Evans is also a wonderful young woman who has surrounded herself with a high quality group of friends. She’s worked hard and contributed to every class and every team she’s been involved with and her positive attitude and encouraging nature have been appreciated by everyone.
