January 30, 2024

The J. Taylor Finley Middle School boys’ volleyball team has seen an explosion in interest with the final roster featuring some very talented players. The seventh and eighth graders are confident as they prepare to go into battle against a skilled schedule of foes.

The team is coached by Washington School physical education teacher Eric Mininni. The squad takes a shuttle bus from Finley to Woodhull School for practices, but it plays its home meets in the Finley Middle School gym.

This year’s team consists of seventh graders Christopher Breingan, Lucca Fiore, Miguel Herrera, Joshua Koiyet, Steven Lapp, Gabriel MacManus, Tyler McDiarmid, Cameron Northrup and Frenklin Vojka and eighth graders Wilmer Benitez Flores, Rhys Carrillo, Rocco Caruso, Micah Cummings, Jeremiah Dasque DeLeon, Jackson Dickson, Daniel Paiz, Ezequiel Saravia, Henry Schmid, Orestis Tsolakakis and Sean White.

All home meets will be livestreamed via the Hudl camera system and available for viewing on the Finley Blue Devil Sports YouTube channel.

Finley will square off against West Hollow, Great Hollow, West Islip Udall, Stimson-White, Commack-Gold, Lindenhurst-White, Stimson-Maroon, West Islip Beach, Northport and Candlewood.
