Freshman Quinn Rinaldi Excels from the Start

January 23, 2024

Quinn Rinaldi is one of Huntington High School’s top freshman. The teenager is exceling in his classes and participating in a wide range of clubs and sports. He’s discerning his likes and dislikes as he goes and already sketching out tentative plans for the future.

“As the youngest in my family, I have been in the high school a lot so it’s kind of weird to be here as a student, but has been made easier having my sister and friends with me,” Mr. Rinaldi said. “As far as classes go, all the teachers and courses are great, but I think my favorite class so far is Living Environment.”

Mr. Rinaldi comes from a family of high achievers and he fits in perfectly. He works hard and takes pride in everything that he does. Teachers and coaches love him. His positive nature makes me popular with everyone.

“I am on the swim team, chamber orchestra, robotics, Key Club and I am going to try out for tennis in the spring and hopefully be a part of the team,” Mr. Rinaldi said. “For me, I think that science research is a fun elective that lets you explore whatever scientific interests you have and form a project. My project this year is based on combating the environmental issue of soil salinity by testing different methods of breaking the hard coat of a seed to allow water to get in.”

Because of the weighting that accompanies the high school’s most challenging courses, Mr. Rinaldi has been able to compile an academic grade average that exceeds perfect. That’s how spectacular his high school start has been.

“As for college, I would love to go to Duke like my brother, Luke. I am interested in studying environmental science or computer science,” Mr. Rinaldi said.
