Washington School Celebrates December’s Winners

Washington Primary School is continuing to celebrate December’s top students. The youngsters were presented with certificates and assembled for a commemorative photo. The monthly honorees are referred to as Washington Winners and they are happy to have earned the designation and the recognition that comes with it.

“These students were able to demonstrate citizenship and the Washington expectations for their peers,” Principal Michelle Richards said. These expectations include: Be kind to others because our words have power; Straight quiet lines in the hallway because our Washington friends are learning; and Stay focused because we like to complete tasks with our whole mind.”

“Together, we help to make Washington a wonderful place to learn and grow,” Dr. Richards said.

December’s award recipients include:

Sebastian Taylor, Eleanora Storck, Noel Yang, Peyton Redmond, Grethel Galaes Hernandez, Diego Fortuna, Bella Nuzzi, Maria Osorio Marquez, David Avelar Perez, Genevieve Sperzel, Smriti Mandal, Misbah Naeemi, Eliam Lopez, Diego Vasquez Argueta, Aiden Chavez Merlos, Josue Chavez Gonzalez, Jackie Reyes Flores and Savannah Appiagyei.

The entire classes of kindergarten teacher Suzanne Catrini and third grade teacher Aliash Ramirez were also recognized for their outstanding effort and performance throughout December.

Several special events are coming to Washington Primary School including Bingo Night (January 19), Family Engagement Night (February 7) and Someone Special Event (February 9).
