Free Guiding the College-Bound Athlete Seminar

The Blue Devil athletic program through the New York State Athletic Administrators Association is making available to Huntington students in grades 7-11 and their parents a free virtual “Guiding the College-Bound Athlete” recruiting seminar on Tuesday, February 20 at 8 p.m.

If you want to participate in college level athletics, you should register to attend this free virtual seminar. The session is for any student athlete in grades 7-11 who might have aspirations of playing on a college sports team and their parents.

You must pre-register for the workshop. Space is limited. To register go to www.dynamitesports.com.

Families can view the free virtual seminar together from the comfort and safety of their own home via a laptop, PC, Notebook, etc.

This nationally acclaimed program will be presented by highly regarded recruiting expert, Rich Wire and special guests Sue Ramsey, an Indiana University basketball star and NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Coach of the Year Award recipient and Coy Wire, a Stanford University graduate, nine year NFL veteran and CNN/HLN sports correspondent.

The free virtual seminar will cover the following topics:

• How to set-up recruiting visits

• How to make sure you are academically eligible to play in college as a freshman and get more opportunities

• How to get an athletic scholarship or grant

• How to get noticed and recruited

• Why you should start as early as eighth grade

• Why there are more opportunities at D-III, NAIA and junior colleges

Participants will also receive an SAT/ACT prep program with a $350 value along with a free online recruiting profile that can be sent to college coaches.
