Faculty advisor Kristiana Salerno leads the Highsteppers. Jeanette Gross is the choreographer on the team’s routines. The Highsteppers are well-known for their hip performances.

“Summer practices have begun and the girls are currently working on their halftime routine and bonfire dance and excited to perform them for the school this season,” Ms. Salerno said. “They are looking forward to homecoming this year, and plan to compete again this year with their three routines; pom, team and hip-hop.”

This year’s roster includes Rosie Arner (captain), Gianna Brady, Sabrina Bijou, Addision Defino, Chloe Donovan, Alyssa Evans (captain), Jordyn Gross (co-captain), Elizabeth James, Kyra Larsen (captain) and Anna McCormick.

The Highsteppers have a decades long tradition of excellence, winning local, regional, state and national honors along the way. The squad performs at halftime of varsity football and basketball games and at special events. The dancers train and rehearse several times a week.

The Highsteppers are beloved around the district. The dancers bring spectacular energy to every performance.
