September 20, 2024

Eight Huntington High School juniors and seniors have been named to the New York State Council of Administrators of Music Education - Suffolk chapter’s All-County choir that will perform in November at Hauppauge.

The talented vocalists include Michaela Dopico (Soprano 1), Josephine Sullivan (soprano 1), Rachel Huth (alto 2), Emily Kustera (soprano 2), Samuel Soric (tenor 2), Liva Camarata (soprano 1), James Stensland (tenor 2) and Lily Wasoski (soprano 1).

The mission of the New York State Council of Administrators of Music Education is to provide a source of communication, development, and support for all leaders responsible for facilitating the music education of the students of New York State.

Huntington UFSD prides itself on offering an exceptional music program with a long list of performance opportunities. Students have been capturing awards for more than 100 years.

The All-County concert is set for Hauppauge High School on Friday, November 15. All of the Huntington honorees have been immersed in the district’s music program for many years. The teenagers each said that music is a big part of their daily life.

The Huntington students will rehearse several times with their colleagues from across Suffolk before performing in concert this fall.
