“I really, really, really love music,” Ms. Wasoski said. “Whenever I’m not playing or learning about music, I’m really not happy to tell the truth. That’s why I try to get involved in anything and everything related to music, and so far it’s made my high school career so enjoyable.”

Ms. Wasoski was in the cast for last spring’s high school musical, “Chicago: Teen Edition.” She played the part of Mary Sunshine and also performed with the ensemble. It was her third drama club production, but surely not her last. She’s appeared in many other shows such as “The Grinch” (Leslie), “Bye Bye Birdie” (Kim), “The Alibis” (Arlington), “Seussical” (Mrs. Mayor) and “Humbug” (Tess).

Count Ms. Wasoski in for anything musical. Just as she says without any hesitation, she simply loves music and she’s really, really good at it.

“Getting involved in any music programs I find has also led me to meet really great people and I learn so much from them every day,” Ms. Wasoski said. “And I have a feeling my artistic journey has only just begun, with things like my enrollment at the Long Island High School of the Arts and my acceptance into the All-State treble choir.”

Ms. Wasoski is already thriving at the LI High School of the Arts in Syosset where she is enrolled in a half day program with the other half of the day spent taking classes at Huntington High School. This marks the first year that Huntington UFSD began offering students the possibility of attending the respected program.

“I’m so happy that I’m able to be able to participate in all that I do and I’m so excited to see what the future has in store for me,” Ms. Wasoski said.
