Huntington Families Invited to Get Connected
September 9, 2024
Huntington UFSD families are invited to “get connected” and obtain help in setting up accounts with Parent Square and the district’s parent portal in eSchool. A workshop will be held at Jack Abrams STEM Magnet School tomorrow (Tuesday) between 4:00-7:00 p.m. for parents to work one-on-one with a neighborhood aide to get connected and stay informed about the progress of their respective child.
“At the Get Connected workshop, our neighborhood aides Carineh Mendez (Grades 9-12), Idania Rivera (Grades 4-8) and Minerva Cortes (Grades K-3) will help parents to get connected with Parent Square and the Parent Portal in eSchool,” Assistant Superintendent Brenden Cusack said. “These are essential tools all parents need in order to support and monitor students' academic progress. Please be sure to stop by if you need any help. Our neighborhood aides are happy to assist and services are available in English and Spanish.”
Mr. Cusack explained that getting connected also means providing parents with the ability to communicate with their child’s teacher through online tools.
Appointments are not necessary. Parents and family members are free to attend the workshop when they can make it between 4:00-7:00 p.m. and get the help they need.
“I hope everyone is enjoying the first days of school and that we are off to a great start” Mr. Cusack said. “ It has been a pleasure visiting a variety of buildings over the last couple of days and seeing so many smiling faces.
