Trustees Appoint HHS Club Faculty Advisors

Huntington High School’s after school club program is fully staff after faculty were formally appointed by Huntington School Board members. Each one of the organizations are planning a full slate of activities during the 2024/25 school year.

Hundreds of students participate in the clubs. Class advisors have also been put in place to work with executive board members for each of the high school’s four grade levels. Academic honor society advisors were also named.

David Moriarty and Danielle Raguzin have been appointed to serve as faculty advisors to both the student government and the Class of 2026. Trustees also appointed Clara Galeas Acosta (Class of 2025), Evelyn Hernandez (Class of 2025), Erik Bruckbauer (Class of 2027), Peter Crugnale (Class of 2027), Camille Tedeschi (Class of 2027), Elizabeth Casazza (Class of 2028; Huntingtonian Yearbook Club) and Lorena Hickey (Class of 2028) as class faculty advisors.

Trustees also appointed teachers and support staff members Jennifer Fazin (Art Honor Society), Aimee Antorino (English Honor Society; The Dispatch), Helen Guarino (English Honor Society), Gina Trigian-Molvaut (French Honor Society), Natalia Kopshti (Italian Honor Society), Kristin Fortunato (Latin Honor Society), Monica Racz (Math Honor Society), Jordan Swierkowski (Math Honor Society), Tara Rossy (National Honor Society), Luigi Papasidero (Science Honor Society), Danielle Raguzin (Science Honor Society), Debora Balducci (Social Studies Honor Society; Debate Club; eSports Game), Nadine Araoz (Spanish Honor Society), James DiMeglio (Tri-M Music Honor Society; Chamber Orchestra), Sylvia Belanger (Afro-Caribbean Heritage Club), Malcolm Eugene (Afro-Caribbean Heritage Club), Suzette Biagi (A World of Difference; Grandfriends; Mock Trial), Marlow Romero (A World of Difference; New World Club), James Graber (Chess Club; Social Justice Ambassadors) and Kristina Morell (The Dispatch) as faculty advisors).

Michael Schwendemann (Drama Club), Alissa German (Environmental Club), Anna Jao (Environmental Club), Michael Corcoran (eSports Game), Dianna Cazzalino (Et Cetera), Sarah Hall (Gender & Sexuality Alliance; Mindfulness Club), Lauren Blackburn (Grandfriends), Robert Gilmor III (Habitat for Humanity; Natural Helpers), Kristiana Salerno (Highsteppers), Eileen Gonzalez (Career Internship), Bryan Outsen (Investment Club; Mock Trial), Gina Colica (Key Club), Kelly Kaiser (Key Club), Keith Mattis (Mathletes), Youlanda Carey (Step Team), Omar Santiago (Robotics), Kevin Kuhner (Robotics), Matthew Liguori (Science Olympiad) and Amelia Saggese (Science Olympiad) were also appointed as club faculty advisors.

Trustees also appointed Michael Zigon (Stage Crew), Rosario Lorezana (United Amigos), Sara Guagliano (Women’s Empowerment Club), Charles Colasanti (Show Choir), Jason Giachetti (Jazz Ensemble) and Andre Rizzuto (Wind Ensemble).

Principal Rochelle Brown said every student is encouraged to participate in the after school club program.
