Senior Jenna Italiano Chooses Molloy University
October 29 , 2024
Jenna Italiano is a confident, articulate and altogether impressive Huntington High School senior. She’s been formulating her future plans for some time and after a period of investigation, discussion, reflection and analysis the teenager has decided to attend Molloy University in Rockville Centre and play on the college’s NCAA Division II women’s lacrosse team.
“I chose Molloy because I truly think it is the best fit for me,” Ms. Italiano said. “I can play lacrosse at a competitive level while managing my school work. Molloy also has a great program for the field I plan on being in which is another reason why I chose it. I want to major in health sciences or biology and hope to one day become a physician assistant.”
The senior is an assertive young woman who possesses strong opinions and has the intellect and verbal skills to present and defend them. A quick survey of those who attend classes with her and who play on the three teams she suits up for reveals that Ms. Italiano is a wonderful classmate and teammate. She is both valued and respected and her sense of humor is appreciated by everyone.
A member of Huntington High School’s National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society chapters, Ms. Italiano also volunteers with the Key Club and Habitat for Humanity.
Ms. Italiano is closely identified with the Blue Devil athletic program. She plays on the varsity soccer, basketball and lacrosse teams and has been a leader on each of the squads.
“My experience at Huntington High School is something I will cherish and remember for the rest of my life,” Ms. Italiano said. “I have had great teachers who taught me not only school-related things, but life lessons as well. My coaches and teammates have taught me everything I know about the sports I partake in and I wouldn’t be playing lacrosse at the collegiate level if it wasn’t for their support and knowledge of the game. Huntington has also brought me my best friends and people I can call family, which I am incredibly grateful for.”
