Family Engagement Night Fun at Flower Hill School

October 21 , 2024

Flower Hill Primary School’s first Family Engagement Night of the 2024/25 school year proved to be a fun time for all participants, regardless of age.

“Families had the opportunity to explore the digital world with their child,” Principal Cindy Seigal said. “This workshop focused on key aspects of their child’s education journey, such as digital safety, Chromebook navigation and exploring the educational applications they use daily.”

The practical nature of the evening’s activities went over well with everyone. “Families learned how to help keep their child stay safe online, navigated their school-issued Chromebook confidently and discovered innovative apps that support learning. This hands-on evening empowered families to better understand the tools that their child uses, fostering collaboration between home and school.  They were also given practical tips to make the most of their child's digital learning experience.”

The weeks ahead will be busy ones at Flower Hill School. The Halloween Bash is set for Friday, October 25. A costume parade and harvest festival will be take place on Thursday, October 31.

Flower Hill’s next PTA meeting is slated for Tuesday, November 19 at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome. First quarter report cards will be posted to the online parent portal on Monday, November 25.
