Perfect Attendance Celebrated at Huntington High School

Huntington High School celebrated students with perfect attendance at an early morning breakfast in the cafeteria late last week. Honorees were called up to the front one by one by Principal Rochelle C. Brown and Assistant Principal Trish Avelli presented each of them with a certificate and pin.
Students filled the cafeteria for the celebration, which included bagels, cookies, juice and water. The crowd included Assistant Superintendent Brenden Cusack and Director of Counseling and Testing, K-12 Dr. Ricky V. Papandrea, Jr. An assortment of available faculty members joined the festivities.
Ms. Brown and Ms. Avelli both gave short inspirational remarks. “Your dedication, hard work and commitment to education are truly inspiring,” Ms. Brown said. “Thank you for showing up, staying focused and putting in the effort to build a successful future.”
The Most Improved category was created to recognize and celebrate students who “have shown significant, positive changes in their attendance for the first quarter.”

“Congratulations to all those who have achieved outstanding results,” Ms. Avelli said. “You’ve earned every bit of recognition. Keep up the great work and remember, consistent attendance and active participation are key to continued success.”
