Larkfield to Play Host to Huntington’s 2024 Prom

Huntington High School’s 2024 prom theme is Under the Stars and the big event is already shaping up to be great night. The affair is set for Thursday, June 27 at Larkfield in East Northport. Tickets will be on sale soon.
The evening will bring together an exceptional group of young people for one big party. Music will be provided by In the Mood, which is a veteran of Huntington prom nights. There will be dancing, fine foods and the crowning of the prom king and queen. A crowd of about 250 is expected. The event will run until 11 p.m.
The prom with kick-off at 6:30 p.m. with a “cocktail hour,” sit down dinner and dessert. There will be passed hors d’oeuvres and hot and cold stations with numerous choices along with a full array of refreshments. A sit-down will feature entrée choices that include salmon, chicken, steak or eggplant rollatini. Dessert options will include popcorn, cotton candy and ice cream.
Larkfield underwent an $8 million renovation a decade ago. The results are stunning. “Inspired by the Tuscan villas of Italy, the new Larkfield invites you and your guests to experience the romance and elegance of estate catering right here on Long Island,” states the facility’s website. “Old World style, demonstrated in timber and stone façades, soaring hearths, manicured gardens and interior balconies.”
Huntington High School teachers Luidi Papasidero and Sara Guagliano are working with student leaders to plan every aspect of the event.
