Washington Celebrates its February Winners

Washington Primary School celebrated its “winners” one recent morning, recognizing February’s top students in a special way.

The youngsters’ names were read over the school’s public address system and they were summoned one by one to the main lobby where they were presented with a certificate the denotes their achievement,

“Each student demonstrated the ‘Washington Way’ and were exceptional role models in the Washington community,” Principal Michelle Richards said. “February’s theme was ‘Spread Kindness the Washington Way!’ These students exceeded the kindness expectations and we recognize their efforts.”

The honorees include Lesther Guevara Castro, Ssamely Garcia Barahona, Jack Parrotta, Robert Biersack, Madison Robles Blanco, Maddie Arias Campos, Margaret Rosendo Valerio, Victor Monteagudo Argueta, Sadie Mohlenhoff, Eric Flores Guardado, Salazar Dominguez, Dabin Ahn, Thomas Gray, Emily Alfaro, Iker Ortigoza Cardozo, Delanie Foote, Alexus Duff, Diogenes Reyes-Pineda and Daniel King.

Upcoming events at the school include Family Dinner Night on Friday, April 12. The Washington PTA will meet on Wednesday, April 17 at 6:30 p.m.

Looking further ahead, Washington’s field day is set for Friday, June 7 (rain date is Monday, June 10) with a family picnic that same evening. The school’s kindergarten celebration will be held on Friday, June 14. Washington’s moving up ceremony is set for Thursday, June 20.
